About Us

Although many virtual organizations (VO) in the sciences are quite effective, there is no organized body of knowledge or set of best practices to draw upon for key issues. Distributed Science provides resources to support virtual organizations for the sciences.

Distributed Science is intended to aid in building communities that can collaborate, share, and learn with and from each other. The guides on our site provide suggestions and real-world advice on planning, running, and evaluating a distributed science project. These guides are informed by best practices of successful researchers and instructions from funding agencies.
